Top 5 Social Networking Apps on iOS in Hungary Q1 2023

In the first quarter of 2023, the top social networking apps on iOS in Hungary exhibited diverse trends in downloads, revenue, and active users. Here’s an overview of their performance based on data from Sensor Tower.

Discord - Talk, Play, Hang Out experienced a steady increase in weekly revenue, peaking at approximately $2.2K in the week of March 6. Weekly downloads, however, showed a declining trend from 3.4K in early January to around 1.7K by the end of March. The app’s weekly active users fluctuated, starting at 95K at the beginning of the quarter and ending at roughly 97K.

Grindr - Gay Dating & Chat saw its weekly revenue peak at $1.8K in the first week of March. Downloads showed a gradual increase, starting from 178 in late December and reaching 207 by the end of March. Active users demonstrated a steady rise from 5.4K to approximately 5.9K throughout the quarter.

Skype had a notable peak in revenue in early January at $1.2K, though it declined to $542 by the end of March. Weekly downloads peaked at 875 in the first week of March but dropped to 534 by the end of the month. Active users remained relatively stable, fluctuating around the 47K mark.

Rakuten Viber Messenger maintained consistent revenue, peaking at $724 in early March. Downloads showed a downward trend from 4.7K in late December to 2.5K by the end of March. Active users remained strong, fluctuating slightly around 450K throughout the quarter.

Facebook showed a significant decline in revenue from $1.4K in late December to $254 by the end of March. Downloads also decreased from 8.2K to 3.4K over the same period. However, active users remained exceptionally high, fluctuating around 1.3M throughout the quarter.
